To get started, go to https://www.hirebook.com/.
To create your free trial Hirebook workspace, click Try Hirebook for Free. On the following screen, click Sign up.
You will be taken to the Sign up screen:
Choose Sign up with Google or Sign up with Microsoft.
Alternatively, choose Sign up with email and enter your first and last name, company email, and password. Then click Sign up.
Next, add your Organization Name and Subdomain when prompted. Also, choose your Country and Currency.
The subdomain name will determine the URL of your Hirebook workspace. For example, the URL for the workspace above will be adamsbigbiz.hirebook.com.
When you’re done, click Create.
The next step is to set up your organization’s structure. Choose either Set manually or Import from HRIS.
If you choose Set manually, enter your team name and click Next.
Choose team members by adding their email addresses. Click Next.
Finally, review the following screen. Team members will be given the Employee role by default. Default check-in questions for your team will also be provided.
When you’re ready, click Finish.
You will then be taken to your Hirebook workspace.
Alternatively, you may set up your organization using Import from HRIS. HRIS stands for “Human Resources Information System.”
Under Select source, choose either Rippling or CSV file. If you choose Rippling, enter your API key. If you are unsure how to locate your Rippling API key, see this guide.
If you choose CSV file, import a file by clicking the search bar. Optionally, click Download CSV template to obtain a sample template for your CSV file. Note that your CSV file must contain the following fields:
Once you click Next, you will be able to check your organization’s structure.
In the next screen, check the users you would like to import.
Once this information is checked, click Import All. On the next screen, click Finish. You will be taken to the Hirebook Dashboard.
Since you created this Hirebook workspace, you will be automatically designated as the owner of the organization as well as an admin.
